Job Description:

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is responsible for applications systems analysis, programming activities, and implementation of new or revised application systems. The role involves development procedures, consulting with users, identifying enhancements, debugging code, and analyzing applications for security vulnerabilities. The candidate will act as SME, resolve production issues, and perform UAT/Production deployments while adhering to Agile processes.

Job Responsibility:

Identify and define necessary system enhancements using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on programming solutions
Design and apply knowledge of programming languages for specifications
Debug and test applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues
Act as advisor or coach to junior analysts
Analyze information to resolve problems and recommend solutions
Operate with limited supervision and exercise independence of judgment
Act as subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders or team members
Assess risk, drive compliance, and apply sound ethical judgment.

Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years of experience
Hands-on development experience in Java, J2EE, Struts, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservice, RestAPI
Experience in banking payment systems like SAG, SWiftNet Protocols (FIleAct/InterAct), ISO20022 message formats
Understanding of SQL, Unix, Oracle, IBM WAS, and IBM MQ
Ability to act as application SME/L3 and help resolve production issues
Exposure to DevOps tools like TeamCity, Udeploy, Autosys, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift
Ability to perform UAT/Production deployment independently
Understanding of Agile process
2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
Clear and concise written and verbal communication
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
