Java Developer

• Oversee all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
• Conduct feasibility studies, provide time and cost estimates, and contribute to IT planning and risk assessment
• Develop and implement new or revised application systems, and offer user/operational support for business applications
• Analyze complex issues, evaluate business and system processes against industry standards, and make informed judgments
• Recommend and implement security measures, and conduct post-implementation analysis to ensure system functionality
• Consult with clients and technology teams, recommend advanced programming solutions, and assist with customer-facing systems
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• Serve as an advisor to junior analysts and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for senior stakeholders and team members, operating with limited supervision and exercising independent judgment

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Core Java: Java EE, PL/SQL, Microservices (lightspeed, docker, Kubernetes), Spring, Springboot, Hibernate, Unix scripting, Team City, Udeploy, Autosys, Oracle, MSSQL
• Good knowledge of GitHub/Version Control Systems, Message Middleware: Kafka, MQ Series
• Knowledge of Securities Finance, Financial Markets, Trading, Middle Office and Back Office functions a plus
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
