Job Description:

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of application systems and programs. The role requires strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and related technologies. Candidates must have hands-on experience in enterprise application development, along with an understanding of banking payments, SQL, Unix, Oracle, and DevOps tools. Responsibilities include system enhancements, debugging, testing, and compliance.

Job Responsibility:

Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements
Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions
Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications
Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues
Conduct testing and debugging
Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts
Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgments to recommend and implement solutions
Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through acquired technical experience
Operate with a limited level of direct supervision
Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy
Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
Assess risk when business decisions are made to safeguard Citigroup, its clients, and assets.

Requirements:

2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Minimum 5+ years of experience
Hands-on development experience in Java, J2EE, Struts, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservice, RestAPI
Past experience in banking payment systems like SAG, SWiftNet Protocols (FIleAct/InterAct), ISO20022 message formats
Understanding of SQL, Unix, Oracle, IBM WAS, and IBM MQ
Ability to act as application SME/L3 and resolve PROD issues
Exposure in DevOps tools like TeamCity, Udeploy, Autosys, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift
Understanding of Agile process.
