Job Description:

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for developing and implementing application systems in coordination with the Technology team. The candidate will work on IT solutions for internal audit systems using Java and Angular. The role involves design, development, testing, and supporting solutions while adhering to best practices and mentorship responsibilities.

Job Responsibility:

Design, develop, and test audit functionalities with Java
collaborate with team members in the implementation of solutions
communicate with business and technology stakeholders
work in a Scrum team
engage in architecture definition of new processes and review existing processes for improvements
support products within functional area and ensure their performance meets business needs
provide technical leadership for complex systems
mentor junior team members and allocate work
ensure principles and best practices are followed in development
remove blockers and drive discussions to achieve results.

Requirements:

2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
5-8 years of relevant experience in the Banking Industry
experience in Applications Development role - Full stack (Java, J2EE, Angular JS, SQL, Spring, Hibernate, ReactJS, NodeJs, Oracle, CICD Pipelines)
strong fundamentals of OOPS concepts, data structures, and algorithms
ability to write 'clean code' using Core Java, JEE, Collections, Multithreading
experience with Spring Framework - Spring Boot, Microservices
experience with API and Web Services development using REST protocols
good understanding of unit testing and test coverage
familiarity with source code control tools and technologies.

Nice to have:

Ability and willingness to work across multiple tools, frameworks, and technology stacks
familiarity with integrated solutions with non-functional requirements like scalability, high availability, consistency
mentorship experience for junior team members.
