Job Description:

JAVA Developer/Engineer with Quarkus - 3+ months - Remote - Start ASAP. For our international client, we are looking for an experienced JAVA Developer/Engineer with experience in Quarkus. Your main task is to support the client in the migration of APIs from Mulesoft to JAVA as part of a migration of legacy systems (ESB, monolith) to microservices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Low level design
  • Development and migration of APIs from Mulesoft to JAVA
  • Technical development based on requirements
  • Building and consuming REST APIs, MicroProfile REST Client or similar
  • HTTP client patterns, error handling, retry strategies
  • Act as lead JAVA Engineer

Requirements:

  • More than 5 years of experience in JAVA Development
  • Project experience with Core Java version 17 upwards, preferably experience with JAVA 25
  • Strong project experience with Quarkus 3.x
  • Strong project experience with Apache Kafka
  • Minimum of 2 years of project experience with event-driven / message-driven architectures
  • Experience in migrating legacy systems (ESB, monolith) to microservices - preferred
  • Experience with SQL / Relational Databases - preferably PostgreSQL
  • Experience with building and consuming REST APIs, MicroProfile REST Client
  • Fluency in English

Nice to have:

  • Team lead or experience as a lead Engineer is preferred
  • Experience as team lead or lead Engineer JAVA - preferred
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry - preferred
