Job Description:

Officer, Java backend developer position at Citi focused on building the future of banking technology. The role involves working on applications development with a focus on Java, Kafka, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

Job Responsibility:

Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements
Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through acquired technical experience
Operate with limited level of direct supervision
Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for firm's reputation and compliance with applicable laws

Requirements:

4-8 years of relevant experience in Java developer, Kafka, Spring boot, Microservices
Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
