Job Description:

The Global Fixed Income Trade Processing (FiTP) Team is seeking a Software Engineer (Java) with a proven track record of design and developing large, complex and distributed systems. This role is within the FiTP team in Pune, India. The successful individual will ideally have a strong knowledge of Fixed Income products and experience in building software systems to handle the capture and processing of high volume of such trades.

Job Responsibility:

Apply software engineering best practices to produce high quality Java applications solving complex business problems
work with Project Managers and Business Analysts to continually review and enhance the appropriate software development methodologies, metric and procedures
work with business analysis and business stakeholders to interpret business requirements into system design
establish a course of action to accomplish specific goals
manage development process from design, build, testing, release and maintenance
provide user and operational support on application to business users
perform root cause analysis with limited information
interpret code and logs quickly to identify problem and come up with short-term/long-term solutions
foster & maintain relationships with business stakeholders, support, testing and development team members
understand, document and communicate system logic and business processes to non-technical interested parties
use appropriate interpersonal & communication skills to gain acceptance of an approach, plan or activity

Requirements:

Proven background in developing large distributed systems to address complex business problems
ability to perform thorough requirement analysis and create comprehensive design for business features
keen to produce well-crafted software living up to highest quality standards
enthusiastic in learning and adopting industry-leading technologies into work
ability to work independently with ownership to estimation and timeline
self-motivated and with determination to achieve goals
good team working skills and ability to work in a virtual team environment
ability to think critically, identify improvement opportunities within application and team, come up with solutions and drive the execution
well-organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks to achieve maximum output

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Oracle (PL/SQL), NoSQL-Mongo
working knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes / OpenShift
experience with CI/CD build pipelines and toolchain – Git, BitBucket, TeamCity, Artifactory, Udeploy, Jira
