Java Application Development Lead

• provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications
• act as a liaison between users, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors
• participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
• perform post release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates
• develop and maintain technical documentation
• maintain application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm
• manage, maintain, and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality
• assist in appropriately assessing risks when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets

• 12+ years of experience in developing & managing Enterprise applications out of which 6 yrs. in Tech Lead
• expert in architecting enterprise-wide solutions using Spring cloud framework
• deep knowledge of application workflows and integration design
• expert level knowledge on software architectural principles and design patterns
• ability to identify the risks and develop mitigation strategy proactively
• provide recommendations on development methodologies, frameworks applicability, technology choices, relevant tool set etc.
• extensive experience in Java, J2EE, Microservice, Spring Cloud and integration framework
• extensive experience in Dockers and Kubernetes
• strong experience in DevOps tools and process
• experience in UI Frameworks & Technologies like Angular, JavaScript, Node JS etc.
• experience in Java Messaging services using Apache Kafka
• experience in tools like Git/Bitbucket, Team city, uDeploy and IBM APIM
• hands on experience in Linux Platform with knowledge of day-to-day routine commands
• excellent writing and communication skills, with a knack for taking technical language and making it comprehensible
