Job Description:

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities as part of Payment modernization for the bank to develop and migrate payment applications on the modernized enterprise application platform.

Job Responsibility:

Participation in establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs
Utilize knowledge of applications development to identify system enhancements
Consult with users, clients, and technology groups on issues
Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues
Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
Identify problems and recommend solutions
Design, implement, and deploy software components
Lead deliveries of high quality software
Review design and code
Focus on operational excellence
Make improvements to development and testing processes
Part of Payment modernization for the bank

Requirements:

6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer using Java, Spring, Springboot, microservices
Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring boot, kafka, Openshift, SQL/NoSQL tech stack
6+ years of experience with software engineering best practices (Junit testing, automation, design patterns, peer review, etc.)
Strong Experience in Object Oriented Principles using Java 17
Experience in Cloud-native development and Container Orchestration tools (Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.)
Exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Hands-on working experience with Junit, Git, Jenkins, Maven
Troubleshooting skills using debuggers, logs
Multiple years of experience with agile and iterative software delivery (SCRUM, Kanban)
Strong Proficiency in SQL Databases, MongoDB, Oracle, Data Analysis
Exposure to event-driven design and architecture (Kafka, MQ)
Exposure to Security, Observability, and Monitoring tools (Grafana Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, CloudWatch)
Work proactively & independently to address project requirements
Code reviews, test case reviews
Good knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

Python scripting experience
Experience with AI tools
Experience in Banking Payments Solution development and implementation in large banks
Experience with various Payments schemes and Payments messaging formats (ISO 8583, ISO 20022, SWIFT MX messages)
