Beacon Hill's client, an Am Law firm, is seeking an experienced General Counsel, Senior In-House Counsel, or Corporate Counsel who is fluent in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing). This is a unique opportunity to join a global law firm and contribute across a mix of practice areas, which may include labor and employment, corporate counsel, and litigation. The partner overseeing this role is open to training the right candidate who demonstrates flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to a long-term engagement.

Requirements:
Active bar license in good standing in the same jurisdiction you reside (CA, DC, DE, FL, IL, KS, MA, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, WA)
Japanese fluency (speaking, reading, and writing) is required
Prior recent experience as General Counsel, Senior In-House Counsel, or Corporate Counsel (in-house experience strongly preferred)
Comfortable working directly with partners and clients in a client-facing capacity
Adaptable and capable of supporting multiple practice groups
Interested in a long-term, stable opportunity with room for growth
Japanese writing sample preferred (ALTA scores accepted if unavailable). Candidates should submit Japanese ALTA exam scores if available, or be willing to take the exam if not.
