The Ft Jackson Janitor cleans and keeps in an orderly condition the premises of offices, child care facilities, working areas, and establishments for Ft Jackson CDC and SSI. Duties involve a combination of the following: Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing chips, trash, and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
Job Responsibility:
Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, empty waste bins and fix minor issues
Responsible for locking and/or unlocking buildings, depending on schedule
Resupply or restock restrooms supply, offices, toiletries, soaps, towels and necessary products
Perform periodic duties, such as waxing floors
Dust mechanical devices like monitors, desktops, printers and any other devices
Clean windows, doors, glasses and mirrors
Adhere to Green Cleaning process
Ensure the success of the QCP
Communicates routinely with the PM and QCM
Professional engages with customers
Supports the emphasis on safety, environmental compliance, and quality of operations
Ensures compliance through thorough awareness of company and client directives, policies, and procedures
Performs spot, routine and scheduled cleaning
Ensures adherence to standard concepts, practices, and safety procedures
Be on duty at the worksite as scheduled
Timely completion and accuracy of all inspections and work
Works closely and harmoniously with other employees
Must be able to multitask
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent
5 years’ experience in Custodial/Janitorial related field
Experience in quality control and assurance
Experience in Health, Safety and Environmental
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Projects
Must be able to work on secure military facilities
Must have current valid driver’s license and clean driving record and be qualified to operate a vehicle
Must be able to pass a DoD background check, pass drug screening tests and obtain SECRET security clearance
