Are you ready to help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment in a world-class manufacturing facility? As a Janitor at RHI Magnesita, you will play a critical role in supporting plant operations by ensuring cleanliness and sanitation across production areas, offices, and common spaces. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with safety standards and creating a productive work environment for all employees.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform routine cleaning of production floors, offices, restrooms, and break rooms
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
  • clean walls, windows, and surfaces
  • Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility and replace liners
  • Sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper)
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers safely and effectively
  • Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas and ensure spill cleanup to prevent hazards
  • Follow all safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Facilities Supervisor promptly
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and seasonal deep-cleaning tasks as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and follow established cleaning schedules
