Job Description:

As an IVI Validation Engineer I for the North America region (USA, Canada, Mexico), you will oversee software quality for regular and irregular Navigation software releases by validating implementation of requirements and performance, constructing comprehensive validation plans, and evaluating full-stack system software. You will establish validation policies aligned with vehicle release schedules, integrate results into reports per issue management standards, and support client events such as audits and joint validations while managing and tracking related issues.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee software quality for regular and irregular Navigation software releases by validating implementation of requirements and performance, constructing comprehensive validation plans, and evaluating full-stack system software.
  • Establish validation policies aligned with vehicle release schedules, integrate results into reports per issue management standards, and support client events such as audits and joint validations while managing and tracking related issues.
  • Manage issue tracking and resolution from internal/external sources, publish validation reports, and monitor finalized software for emerging issues requiring prompt action or negotiation.
  • Adjust and apply test cases based on specification changes or external investigations to maintain validation accuracy and relevance.
  • Analyze specifications, create and execute test cases, perform module-level and system integration validation - including driving tests - to ensure performance and functionality.
  • Provide field support during audits and validation events, deliver internal validation reports, and respond promptly to client inquiries to minimize disruptions and ensure thorough issue reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, GIS, or related field
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, development processes, and the full software lifecycle. with at least 2 years of experience as a Software Validation Engineer.
  • Skilled in software test strategies aligned with international standards (ISO, IEC, IEEE 29119), including both black-box and white-box testing methods.
