Job Description

As part of our Crew Member ITSM Atlassian Consultant program, you bring specialized knowledge and hands-on expertise to ensure the technical success of platform administration and operations, incident management, governance and continuous improvement, and reliability. Beyond implementation, the ITSM Atlassian Consultant acts as a Subject Matter Expert, offering guidance on specific technologies, products, or platforms like Jira, Confluence or Jira Service Management. They are key in Solution Design, collaborating with stakeholders to develop solutions that align with both business needs and technical requirements. This role also involves proactive troubleshooting and problem-solving for any technical issues that arise, alongside dedicated knowledge transfer through training, documentation, and best practices to empower customer teams. The ITSM Consultant works in close collaboration with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and customer teams, ensuring quality assurance by meeting defined specifications and standards. They will also undertake ad-hoc assignments and duties as required to support project objectives and overall technical excellence.

  • Support the technical implementation, configuration, customization, and deployment of solutions
  • Provide specialized knowledge and guidance as a Subject Matter Expert on relevant technologies, products, or platforms
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions that meet defined business needs and technical requirements
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer by delivering training, documentation, and best practices to customer teams
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and customer teams to ensure project alignment and successful delivery
  • Ensure all technical deliverables meet defined specifications, standards, and quality benchmarks
  • Perform other technical duties and assignments to support project objectives and ensure overall technical success

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related technical disciplines
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Atlassian Consultant, Atlassian Administrator, Jira Administrator, or similar position
  • Proven track record in implementing solutions, including installations, upgrades, workshops, integrations, and training for Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, JSM, etc)
  • Demonstrated expertise in undertaking analysis, evaluation, and translation of customer requirements and feeding them into solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, including workshop facilitation, written and verbal communication
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Proficiency in technical skills such as: command line (preferably Unix), SQL, script development, software configuration, and other related technical skills
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, Groovy, Perl, Ruby, Shell Scripting, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM principles
  • Experienced in UAT testing and test use-case development
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies
