OUR CLIENT IS SEEKING A WAREHOUSE / OPERATIONS SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL IN PLAINFIELD, IN TO ASSIST WITH A VARIETY OF WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS, INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, AND DATA ENTRY TASKS. THIS ROLE INVOLVES BOTH PHYSICAL LABOR—SUCH AS BREAKING DOWN SHIPMENTS, MOVING PALLETS, STOCKING, PICKING, AND PACKING ITEMS—AND ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES LIKE MANAGING SPREADSHEETS, TRACKING MULTIPLE PROJECTS, AND ENTERING DATA INTO SYSTEMS USING EXCEL AND SERVICE MANAGER SOFTWARE. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE DETAIL-ORIENTED, ABLE TO WORK EFFECTIVELY IN A TEAM, AND COMFORTABLE WITH CROSS-TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES. THE POSITION REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO LIFT UP TO 75 LBS, PERFORM INVENTORY AUDITS, AND PROVIDE BACKUP SUPPORT FOR OTHER WAREHOUSE TASKS. THE WORK SCHEDULE IS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, 7:00 AM TO 3:30 PM, WITH OCCASIONAL OVERTIME, A BUSINESS-CASUAL DRESS CODE (KHAKIS AND POLO SHIRT), AND SCHEDULED BREAKS.
Job Responsibility:
Perform manual labor including breaking down shipments from pallets and moving pallets within the warehouse using a pallet jack
Use provided tools and software to scan devices and enter information into the database
Stock items on shelves, pick items as directed, and pack items for shipping
Handle spreadsheets used to upload data into the new system and manage pick tickets
Maintain separation of multiple projects (4–5 concurrent) and track associated purchase orders
Prepare items for shipment to another warehouse for storage
Perform inventory audits as directed and assist with decommissioned equipment as needed
Provide backup support for other warehouse tasks as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
GED or equivalent preferred
Experience with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Service Manager software
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to cross-training opportunities
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and remain on feet for the duration of the work shift
