Job Description:

We are looking for an IT Test Analyst specializing in IT Applications (POS) to join a high-performing Quality Assurance team. This role involves working in a collaborative onshore/offshore environment to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The position supports test preparation and execution activities while partnering closely with application teams, test leads, and QA managers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in functional and technical design reviews to understand business processes, technologies, and system architecture
  • Create and maintain test scenarios and test cases aligned with functional requirements
  • Ensure appropriate test data is prepared and available in the test environment
  • Execute test cases and document results, including proof of testing
  • Log, track, and retest defects in a timely manner using test management tools
  • Communicate testing progress and status effectively to the test lead and QA manager
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a project environment
  • Support issue resolution and drive defects to closure
  • Deliver high-quality work aligned with business and application team needs
  • Complete assigned tasks on time based on priorities set by the test lead

Requirements:

  • Mandatory experience in retail domain
  • Hands-on experience testing POS transactions and retail workflows
  • Experience designing and executing test cases for: Sales, returns, exchanges, refunds
  • Promotions, discounts, tax calculations
  • Tender types (cash, credit/debit, gift cards)
  • Experience validating POS integrations with systems like OMS, inventory, pricing, promotions, loyalty, and payment processing
  • Strong understanding of retail business processes
  • Ability to validate data using SQL queries
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative)
  • Experience working with distributed (onshore/offshore) teams
  • Familiarity with tools like HP ALM, JIRA, or similar
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work proactively in a team environment
