Job Description

A growing and innovative manufacturing business based in Witney is looking to appoint a IT Technical Applications Manager to play a key role in supporting and evolving its business-critical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced applications professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with business teams, the IT Technical Application Manager ensures applications effectively support business processes and that changes are delivered safely, securely, and in alignment with ITIL best practice.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure the stability, performance, and availability of business-critical applications
  • Lead application support, configuration, and ongoing optimisation initiatives
  • Manage incidents, changes, and problem resolution in line with ITIL best practices
  • Work closely with internal teams and third-party providers to drive system improvements
  • Support data integrity, governance, and reporting requirements across the business
  • Manage and support integrations between applications, databases, and external systems
  • Act as the technical owner for assigned business-critical applications

Requirements

  • Strong experience supporting and configuring enterprise or business‑critical applications
  • Understanding of application architecture, databases, APIs, and integrations
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, especially change, incident, and problem management
  • Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, and data analysis techniques (desirable)
  • Understanding of data governance principles and best practices
