Job Description

About the role. You will: Implement and customize Guidewire core insurance system, working with alternative JVM language. Lead the design of IT solutions, taking into account architecture and its constraints. Serve as a reliable advisor and “sparring partner” for our clients. Independently lead a project team, ensuring the timely completion of tasks and maintaining high standards. Monitor compliance with project scope, spread good practices, and share knowledge across teams. Create well-structured technical documentation (e.g., using BPMN, UML). Work directly with our clients as an active member of an agile project team. Build strong and long-lasting relationships with clients.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of commercial experience as a software developer, using Java/Gosu
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role, such as a Tech Lead or Architect
  • A fluency in Spanish (C1/C2 level) and good command of the English language (at least B2/C1 level) is a must
  • Solid hands-on experience with systems integration or in the insurance domain
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and clean code principles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge business requirements with technical solutions and effectively facilitate workshops
  • Experience in estimating effort on various levels and identifying potential risks
  • Any of the following: Web services (REST/SOAP), Microservices, JMS knowledge, Spring, or any similar hands-on experience
  • Readiness to travel regularly in Spain (we work partially from the client side)
  • Ability to work in the European Union
