Are you an experienced hands-on IT Team Leader, who is looking to work in a fast paced, global, market leading company? Here at Innovative Technology, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Team Leader to join our site-based IT team at our global head office in Oldham, Greater Manchester. The IT Team Leader role overview: To lead and develop the IT Support function, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality support services and reliable operation of all managed IT systems and commercial off-the-shelf platforms.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for coaching and developing the team, managing performance, fostering a positive and high performing work culture
  • Own the day-to-day operation of the IT Helpdesk, ensuring all incidents and requests are effectively triaged, prioritised and progressed in line with business impact
  • Personally handle complex, high-impact issues and coordinate resources for swift resolution
  • Maintain and support the network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VLANs and ensuring reliability and security across the business
  • Identify recurring issues, inefficiencies and drive practical improvements to reduce repeat incidents to enhance the overall user experience
  • Support IT changes and projects through active involvement in transition to support, including documentation, knowledge transfer and early-life support

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar team leader role
  • Strong hands-on experience of IT support environments, including Windows infrastructure, end-user computing, and cloud services such as Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Prioritise and manage competing demands to maintain control in a fast-paced, reactive environment
  • Solid working knowledge of backup technologies, infrastructure monitoring and patching processes
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls and VLANs
