Job Description

The IT Support Manager reports to the Director IT Offices Europe, Middle East and Africa and is responsible for delivering Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support across our Cape Town and Johannesburg offices and remote locations. The role ensures the stability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure (wired and wireless), while supporting associates both on-site and remotely. This position also contributes to IT projects, maintains IT security compliance, and provides occasional onsite support across EMEA locations.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 IT support (remote and deskside) across our Cape Town and Johannesburg offices and remote locations
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and end-user devices
  • Ensure IT security compliance across all systems and equipment
  • Support associates with IT service requests and ensure timely resolution via ticketing systems
  • Manage moves, adds, and changes (new hires, leavers, transfers, office moves)
  • Install, configure and maintain IT equipment (laptops, mobiles, AV tools, servers, networking)
  • Manage wired and wireless corporate networks (guest and associate)
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services and user access (ID creation, permissions)
  • Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity tools and plans
  • Manage IT support mailboxes and ensure SLA adherence
  • Oversee third-party suppliers and approve invoices
  • Maintain telephony systems, AV setups, and meeting room technology
  • Ensure backup policies are adhered to across devices
  • Support regional IT projects and provide onsite coverage when required
  • Continuously develop technical skills and contribute to the wider IT team

Requirements

  • Experience in desktop and server support environments (physical, virtual, and cloud-based)
  • Strong customer service experience with a user-focused mindset
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure and operations
  • Project management experience or exposure desirable
  • Familiarity with IT security standards and corporate policies
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proactive, reliable, and solutions-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
