Join a forward-thinking manufacturing group as their IT Systems Lead / Senior Systems Engineer, ensuring the smooth operations of the main manufacturing site in Ireland & Head Office functions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role suitable for a hands-on IT Systems Professional, offering the chance to shape technology strategy, deliver business-critical solutions and maintain high availability systems, providing hands-on support across all IT systems - Multi VLAN environment with VMware, Windows server administration, Network (Fortinet), MES/ERP and EUC support to all users in Ireland.
Job Responsibility:
Manage Windows Servers, Active Directory, Office 365, Entra ID and multi-VLAN networks
Provide IT user support / help desk support and all EUC monitoring & troubleshooting
Apply ITIL, Cybersecurity, compliance & Risk Management practices, with a particular focus on Cyber Essentials across the Supply Chain & Production environment
Assist Group IT with administering & maintaining VMware hosts in a high-availability environment
ERP / MES applications, systems & processes
Identify and deliver automation opportunities across IT and business workflows
Build reports and dashboards (Crystal, Excel, Power BI, ERP-native tools) to support data-driven decisions
Manage and mentor a small IT team (1 other IT Support Eng)
Collaborate with business stakeholders to align IT initiatives with strategic growth plans
Requirements:
Experience in supporting IT systems in a Manufacturing, Industrial / Production environment
5+ years in IT system administration or IT Systems Leader / management within a fast-paced (manufacturing or Industrial) environment
Windows Server, Active Directory, M365, ideally with some exposure to VMware, Entra ID, Intune and networking
Knowledge of business processes, MES / ERP applications, databases, reporting tools, IT governance, automation & process standardisation
Strong communicator, able to translate complex IT topics into clear business value
Customer-service mindset with excellent prioritisation and project management skills
EU/EEA/UK citizens or current, valid full working visa holders in Ireland only
Must be based in Ireland and also within a comfortable commute of the site location
Nice to have:
