IT Systems Engineer

• Implement automation of IT infrastructure deployment workflows
• Collaborate with the Architect team on the onboarding of new innovations and technical implementation of new designs
• Work with the deployment team to ensure systems can be efficiently provisioned as per standard configurations meeting project requirements
• Work with the support team to ensure an appropriate level of IT systems support can be provided
• Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and online communities to keep abreast of emerging IT systems and technology
• Provide technical expertise, direction and assistance to the Deployment and Support teams and assist with problem analysis where required
• Review the IT systems and technology in use and report recommendations for improvements
• Review standard hardware, standard software and standard configurations for IT systems and technology to ensure these meet business requirements
• Assist the Architecture team with the technical implementation design for the onboarding of new solutions from the innovation team where required
• Maintain and improve systems for monitoring and maintenance of the IT infrastructure landscape
• Create and update procedure and work instruction documentation for the standard configurations, deployment and support of IT systems and technology

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience of working in systems design and support, enterprise application and infrastructure
• Ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
• Pro-active, dynamic, dedicated and responsible
• Strong customer orientation capabilities
• Strong communication skills
• Good conceptual and analytical skills
• Excellent English language skills, both written and oral

Qualifications related to Windows server administration, VMWare, vSAN/vSphere virtualisation, Azure cloud administration, Ansible automation and PowerShell scripting
