Job Description

ESK Technologies is seeking an experienced IT System Admin – L3 to join our team in Hyderabad.

Job Responsibility

  • Incident Management – Handle escalations from L1 support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related incidents
  • Log and update incidents in the ticketing system, documenting resolution steps
  • Ensure incidents are resolved within SLA
  • Perform regular maintenance of servers, storage systems, and network devices
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, Any new OS)
  • Write automation scripts in python or bash
  • Maintain ansible playbooks
  • Access Management for OnPrem and Cloud Servers
  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions in LDAP, or other directory services
  • Resolve escalated issues related to user access, password resets, and permissions
  • Monitor user activity for security and compliance
  • Work with L3 or network teams for advanced network troubleshooting
  • Enforce and maintain security policies, including file and folder permissions
  • Identify potential security threats and escalate them to the security team
  • Use monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds to proactively identify potential system issues
  • Respond to alerts generated by monitoring systems
  • Suggest and implement system improvements to prevent recurring incidents
  • Create and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify and escalate complex issues that require L3 or vendor support
  • Collaborate with specialists or external vendors for hardware replacements or advanced configurations

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of Linux and other Operating Systems
  • Proficient in Windows Server (2022) and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu)
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
  • Hands-on experience with user and group management
  • Familiarity with backup software and disaster recovery best practices
  • Experience with system monitoring tools and basic scripting
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure situations
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication for resolving issues with users and escalating to L3 or external vendors
  • Fixing and Troubleshooting basic to advance level issues on Linux and Windows Servers
  • Writing and maintaining ansible playbooks and inventory management
  • Experience with Storage Configurations LVM,NFS,Samba
  • Networking Basics
  • Hands on Experience in handling VM’s
  • Ability to troubleshoot any kind of Linux or Windows Server issues quickly
