We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our Technical Operations team in Manchester. The role supports the delivery and day to day operation of IT systems across the college, ensuring staff and students can make full use of digital technologies and equipment. You will provide first line technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and help maintain devices, systems and network infrastructure across the college environment.
Job Responsibility:
Providing first line IT support to staff and students via the helpdesk system
Installing, configuring and maintaining PCs, Macs, laptops, tablets and peripherals
Troubleshooting hardware, software and basic network issues
Supporting classroom, studio and AV equipment used for teaching and learning
Assisting with device deployment, asset management and system maintenance
Supporting users with cloud services including Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
Requirements:
IT or technical qualification at Level 3 or above
Strong problem solving skills
Organised and able to prioritise tasks
Confident communicating with users with varying levels of technical knowledge
Nice to have:
Experience of creative media software or digital audio workstations
