We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our Nuneaton-based IT team. The Role: Reporting to the IT Operations Team Leader, this role is the day-to-day onsite presence for our Nuneaton factory and warehouse site, and office, providing hands-on IT support for manufacturing, warehousing, and office users while also supporting London office users and work-from-home colleagues remotely. The role is based at our Nuneaton site four days a week and one day remote. You will visit our London office approximately once a month to build relationships with the wider team, gain familiarity with the site and business operations, and occasionally provide cover during busy periods or holidays. All travel expenses are covered by the company.
Job Responsibility
Deliver day-to-day IT support for Nuneaton factory, warehouse, and office users onsite, and for London office and work-from-home users remotely.
Support the Head of IT and IT Operations Team Leader in delivering planned IT projects.
Manage onsite IT requirements outside the scope of third-party support, including: Installing, moving, and modifying onsite equipment.
Supporting Nuneaton Factory and Warehouse IT hardware and infrastructure.
Supporting handheld devices, printers, and production line, packing, warehousing, and dispatch equipment.
Handling patching and network setup.
Acting as skilled “remote hands” for third-party providers when required.
Act as a point of contact for third-party partners and internal users to: Log, manage, and track support tickets using ManageEngine Service Desk Plus.
Monitor and chase ticket resolution.
Assist in scheduling support activities and onsite visits.
Install and configure PROPER SNACKS-specific software applications and tools, including scheduling patching and upgrades.
Support and maintain Microsoft Teams Rooms and AV conferencing equipment across London and Nuneaton meeting spaces.
Ensure the security and integrity of data, systems, and equipment.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date IT asset register, including preparing and issuing equipment for new starters.
Assist new starters with account setup, registration, and onboarding, and support the offboarding process including recycling or re-profiling returned devices.
Maintain communication rooms in a clean and organised condition.
Provide end-user training and guidance, both in person and remotely.
Document IT solutions and standard procedures in a knowledge base.
Requirements
Some exposure to IT support, service desk, troubleshooting or hands-on technology — this could be through work experience, an apprenticeship, college course, certifications, home labs or personal projects.
Genuine interest in technology and a proactive approach to learning, with evidence of self-development such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, networking/security courses or practical tech experimentation.
Comfortable providing first-line support to colleagues face to face, with a friendly, helpful and approachable style.
Willingness to travel to London approximately once a month and as required (all travel expenses covered).
