The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end-users, and maintaining the overall IT infrastructure. Job Responsibility:
Technical Support: Provide prompt and efficient support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including operating system and application issues, and escalate complex problems as needed
System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and updates on computer systems, including installing patches and upgrades
User Assistance: Assist end-users with setting up new accounts, configuring systems, and troubleshooting various IT-related issues
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system changes in the IT ticketing system
IT Projects: Support IT projects and initiatives, including system upgrades, new software deployments, and hardware installations
Security: Ensure adherence to security protocols and practices to safeguard the company’s IT infrastructure and data
Requirements:
Associate’s Degree or Equivalent: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus
Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues with Windows and Mac operating systems, office applications, and network connectivity
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service
Ability to think critically and resolve technical issues efficiently
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
