Our client is a leading SaaS company, specializing in data security and AI, and they are seeking an IT Support Specialist. This role is based in LA but requires significant travel across U.S.
Job Responsibility:
Receive, unpack, and test new IT equipment (servers, network devices, etc.)
Travel to various company office locations across the country (significant travel required)
Install and configure servers, including racking, cabling, and power connections
Set up network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and other networking hardware
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on-site
Conduct remote verification sessions (e.g., FaceTime, video conferencing) with on-site managers to confirm proper installation and functionality
Maintain accurate records of equipment installations and configurations
Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless IT operations
Requirements:
Proven experience in IT support, with a focus on hardware installation and configuration
Strong understanding of server hardware, networking concepts, and cabling
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Nice to have:
Experience with various operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) is a plus
