This position is a primary member of the Academic Technology unit housed within the Office of the Registrar and utilizes a teamwork approach to ensure that the office is providing quality service while adhering to University policies and procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Participating in the delivery of quality services by the unit
Determines within the basic guidelines and rules the release of student confidential academic information in accordance to applying complex provisions according to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) and university policies
Applying such in resolving issues related to students' academic permanent records, academic technology systems, and student services
Supports the daily tasks of the area
Serves as a content area expert/liaison between the office and key university offices
Assists the Assistant Registrar for Academic Technology in planning and monitoring improvements to the area
Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and two years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's Degree
Higher Education/post-secondary experience: one year progressively responsible experience in Enrollment Management (Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registrar) or experiences directly related area of expertise that interacts with the business processes handled by these offices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a highly detailed work environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including an excellent command of the English language, grammar, and syntax.
Knowledge of student records maintenance, registration/enrollment processes, degree and graduation processes, and verification procedures.
Experience reviewing, implementing, or recommending changes to multiple policies and procedures, including university, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Knowledge of Student Information Systems platform(s) - i.e. PeopleSoft/Oracle, u.achieve/DARS, etc….
Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating situations, making decisions as well as grasp new techniques and updates to products/processes quickly.
Experience providing training, technical development, public speaking, presentations, and customer service in higher education-related areas.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
