Job Description:

We’re hiring our first Working Student IT Support & Office Operations to help us build a reliable, scalable internal IT and office setup from the ground up. You won’t be maintaining a polished system. You’ll help design it, document it, and make it work day to day for a growing team. You’ll be the first point of contact for internal IT topics, work closely with our Head of Engineering, and gradually turn “someone should probably handle this” into clear processes that actually scale. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, broad exposure across the company, and a steep learning curve across IT support, security, compliance, and office operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own internal IT support end-to-end
  • Be the first point of contact for IT-related questions and issues
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day problems pragmatically and keep the team productive
  • Escalate, document, and improve recurring issues instead of firefighting them forever
  • Build our IT support setup
  • Work with the Head of Engineering to design IT support processes, tools, and workflows from scratch
  • Help define what “good internal IT” looks like at doinstruct as we scale
  • Run onboarding and offboarding
  • Set up accounts, devices, access rights, and tools for new joiners
  • Ensure clean, secure offboarding when people leave, no loose ends
  • Support security and compliance
  • Handle operational security tasks like access management and device security
  • Support ISO-related work, including documentation, evidence collection, and audit preparation
  • Keep hardware and tools under control
  • Maintain IT inventory and device lifecycle
  • Coordinate with external IT, hardware, and software vendors when needed
  • Support office operations
  • Keep our Berlin office running smoothly day to day
  • Manage office equipment, hardware, and communication with suppliers and service providers
  • Improve and automate as we grow
  • Continuously identify ways to simplify, document, and automate IT, security, and office processes
  • Turn chaos into structure, step by step

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as a student
  • Enjoy helping people and take pride in things working properly
  • Comfortable building structure where none exists yet
  • Stay calm when things break and can prioritize under pressure
  • Curious about IT security and compliance and want to learn more, including ISO standards
  • Can explain technical topics in simple, clear terms to non-technical colleagues
  • Have basic experience with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Confluence
  • Familiar with MacBooks and macOS
  • Fluent in English
  • Speak good German, especially for communication with office suppliers and service providers
What we offer:
  • Drive Real Impact
  • Own & Build
  • Level Up Fast
  • Grow with us
  • Flexibility & Balance
  • Flexible working hours that fit your studies, with the option to work from Berlin or partly remotely
  • Backed by the Best
  • Positive working atmosphere
  • Maximum transparency
  • Communication at eye level
  • Support every step of your personal and professional development
