We are looking for an entry-level IT support specialist to join a team and assist with daily hardware and help desk operations. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable handling a high volume of support activity while preparing equipment for end users. The role focuses on device setup, inventory coordination, ticket management, and general technical assistance in a corporate environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare laptops and other hardware for user deployment by completing setup, configuration, and staging tasks accurately
Track incoming, outgoing, and retired equipment to maintain organized and up-to-date inventory records
Provide first-level help desk support by responding to user issues and working through assigned service tickets
Manage a steady workload of open requests while prioritizing tasks and maintaining consistent follow-through
Support hardware lifecycle activities, including deployment readiness and proper retirement or disposal of outdated devices
Assist with basic troubleshooting for end-user technology issues related to hardware, configurations, and workplace connectivity
Follow established instructions and documentation carefully to reduce errors and ensure reliable support delivery
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in IT support, help desk, or hardware support work
Working knowledge of computer hardware, device configuration, and deployment preparation
Ability to follow directions closely and complete detailed tasks with a high level of accuracy
Familiarity with service desk ticket handling and day-to-day end-user support activities
Basic understanding of corporate network environments and standard IT support practices
Experience with inventory tracking or asset management processes is preferred
Exposure to Microsoft 365 and Active Directory is a plus
