You will serve as the primary on-site IT presence in our Chicago office, owning local IT operations while also providing remote support to employees across other office locations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient day-to-day IT operations in a fast-paced ad tech environment. In this role, you’ll help ensure employees can move quickly and confidently, with minimal friction from IT issues. This position requires a hands-on, self-directed problem solver who is comfortable working independently, collaborating with distributed teams, and delivering a high-quality end-user experience. This position includes participation in an on-call rotation and occasional travel to headquarters in Orange County, CA or other offices as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Provide day-to-day IT support for the Chicago office and remote support for other office locations
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across macOS and Windows systems
Perform workstation setup and configuration for new hires and support occasional workstation moves
Support SaaS applications, collaboration tools, conference rooms, AV systems, and office connectivity
Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning, account access, and security controls
Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and operational runbooks
Apply security best practices, patching, and access controls in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment
Partner with remote IT, security, and engineering teams to resolve escalated or systemic issues
Requirements:
4–6 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or systems support roles
Strong hands-on experience supporting macOS and Windows endpoints
Experience administering Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Windows Server, and Active Directory
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi)
Comfortable working independently as the sole on-site IT presence in an office
Strong troubleshooting, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Clear, professional communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience working in fast-paced, production-focused environments
Nice to have:
Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure
Familiarity with identity and access management tools (Okta, Google Admin)
Experience with endpoint management or MDM tools (Jamf, Intune)
Basic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
Exposure to security tooling, monitoring, or compliance-focused environments
