Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on IT Support Engineer for a short-term, on-site contract in Manchester. The role is focused on user support, onboarding new starters, laptop staging, and providing high-quality VIP support. This position places a strong emphasis on communication, proactiveness, and customer service rather than deep technical expertise.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide on-site IT and desk-side support to office users
  • Assist new joiners, including laptop setup and onboarding
  • Stage and configure laptops prior to deployment
  • Manage IT stock and assets
  • Deliver VIP / executive support as required
  • Support general ad-hoc IT requests

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an IT support / desktop support role L2
  • Proven knowledge of Intune
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working independently
  • Confident supporting users at all levels
