Job Responsibility

  • Provide first and second-line IT support to internal users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively
  • Implement and maintain information assurance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Assist in the management of user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security protocols
  • Monitor IT systems for security breaches and respond to incidents in a timely manner, including investigation and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects, upgrades, and deployments
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT support activities, information assurance procedures, and incident reports
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in IT support and information security to continually improve service delivery

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT support and information assurance, preferably within a technology or defence-related environment
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and endpoints
  • Knowledge of information security standards such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, or equivalent frameworks
  • Experience with risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response
  • Familiarity with user account management, Active Directory, and access control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, ITIL Foundation, or similar are advantageous
