The opportunity: This role sits at the intersection of IT, supply chain, and operations, with real global reach across Europe, North America, and Asia. You will take ownership of mission-critical applications supporting logistics, procurement, quality, and technical operations, while leading and developing a small, capable team. It's a hands-on leadership role: strategic enough to shape the roadmap, close enough to operations to ensure things actually work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Owning and evolving IT applications that support the end-to-end supply chain across multiple international sites
  • Ensuring stable daily operations while continuously improving systems and processes with your team
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of around seven specialists
  • Actively driving digitalisation initiatives, including automation and modern quality-focused solutions
  • Acting as a trusted partner to operations, engineering, and senior leadership
  • Managing external partners and taking responsibility for budget planning and control

Requirements:

  • Proven people leader with experience managing IT teams in an industrial or manufacturing context
  • Strong background in SAP-supported supply chain processes (MM / SD / EWM in particular)
  • Broad process understanding across logistics, procurement, quality, and maintenance
  • Comfortable working in an international, regulated environment
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and able to balance diplomacy with clear decision-making
  • Fluent in German and English (both required at a high professional level)
