IT Specialist

• Develops business cases for new solutions by outlining the current state of business processes, identifying problems or opportunities, evaluating options for achieving the desired future state, conducting cost-benefit and financial analyses, and providing recommendations
• Identifies and analyzes business needs, gathers requirements, and defines scope and objectives for assigned IT/OT initiatives
• Drives stakeholder engagement and communication through business presentations and reports using MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, ensuring appropriate frequency and content
• Collaborates with IT Portfolio Management, Security Operations, and Infrastructure teams to manage inbound non-standard IT requests within an established governance framework
• Supports financial planning and management for IT/OT systems within the capital portfolio program
• Creates and maintains documentation and procedures to ensure effective IT systems and processes
• Assists with rate applications by preparing documentation and analysis in line with regulatory timelines and participating in required meetings and workshops
• Coordinates, documents, and oversees Toronto Hydro’s Records Management Program, providing guidance and support to Divisional Records Coordinators (DRCs) and Department Records Representatives (DRRs)
• Performs operational routines associated with the position

• Post-secondary Degree/ Diploma (University or College)
• Minimum five (5) years or relevant experience in IT Project Management, IT Governance or IT Strategic Planning roles required
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience relevant to the identification of effective business solutions to meet the business goals of the organization
• Internal and/or external consulting experience in a utility or customer service environment
• Well versed in the application of IT/OT solutions to work management and business processes
• Strategic and analytical thinking
