Job Description:

As our IT Sr Software Engineer, you will be a technical leader and innovator, pivotal in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable software solutions that drive our digital transformation. Every day, you will lead complex software projects from concept to deployment, ensuring architectural integrity and coding standards. You'll architect solutions, mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot intricate technical challenges, collaborating to translate business requirements into efficient applications. To be successful in this role, you will possess deep expertise in multiple technologies, a proven track record in delivering enterprise software, and strong leadership, problem-solving, and innovation skills to achieve technical excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead complex software projects from concept to deployment, ensuring architectural integrity and coding standards
  • Architect solutions, mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot intricate technical challenges
  • Collaborate to translate business requirements into efficient applications
  • Implement and/or enhance applications of high complexity/enterprise wide cross functional programs or projects
  • Perform application build and configuration management functions or work directly with Software Development Engineers
  • Write technical specification documents for development, perform testing, and/or perform configuration management
  • Act as a subject matter expert in design, configuration and building on multiple projects
  • Lead efforts on documentation that describe processes and procedures relating to the solution and transition operational support to Technical Analysts
  • Design, configure, test, implement, and maintain solutions and may lead others
  • Deliver project assignments of high complexity which includes application design, and configuration
  • Interact with the customer user community to secure business requirements
  • Perform technical requirements translation to meet business objectives
  • Participate or may lead the Product Release management functions
  • May be responsible for taking on-call on a regular basis
  • Interact with business teams to develop application requirements and installation plans
  • Participate or may lead efforts to ensure application standards, policies, and procedures exist
  • Participate or may lead transition to operations functions to Technical Analysts resources
  • Participate or may lead in peer reviews of configuration work
  • Participate or may lead in application management activities for a single functional area
  • Participate or may lead in product lifecycle management
  • Provide administrative, application configuration, performs unit and integration testing for highly complex projects
  • Research and recommend appropriate application management best practices and tools
  • Respond to end user problems and develop/maintain strong working relationships
  • Assist in documenting business and system processes and procedures
  • Participate in developing training materials and training users on system functionality
  • Participate in Application feasibility and selection processes
  • Participate or may lead in designing system specifications, standards, and configuration
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, solution configuration and design
  • Protect the organization by keeping information confidential and safe
  • May be pulled into highly complex high severity issue management

Requirements:

  • Senior Software Engineer position is specific for Oncology and experience with ( Elekta or Varian) preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a senior-level Healthcare environment
  • 5+ years of experience working in IT as a Software Engineer or equivalent software development role is required
  • 2+ years of experience with the Infinity SDK for Blackbaud CRM is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience writing reports for Blackbaud CRM and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience using Brightvine's Data Loader is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience using Zuri's Velocity is preferred
  • Technical: .NET, Java, Python, Angular, Spring, scripting languages, Microsoft BI software (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS), Blackbaud CRM SDK (Infinity SDK), analytics tools (SRSS, PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Process & Methodology: Agile development methodologies, business process analysis, DevOps principles
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Problem Solving & Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to identify and implement solutions to complex challenges

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Elekta or Varian
