Job Description

The company is seeking an IT Service Portfolio Consultant to design, implement and establish a structured IT Service Portfolio within a rapidly evolving digital energy infrastructure environment. This is a hands-on, foundational role requiring deep technical expertise in service management and the ability to operate within complex enterprise IT landscapes.

Job Responsibility

  • Apply structure and overview across a fragmented IT landscape
  • Engage with technical teams to map out existing IT services
  • Define IT services and provide unambiguous technical descriptions
  • Co-design a scalable, logical and practical IT Service Portfolio
  • Provide insight into relationships between services, capabilities, applications and ownership
  • Identify dependencies and responsibilities across the IT estate
  • Guide Service Owners and stakeholders in completing and maintaining the portfolio
  • Stimulate adoption so that the IT Service Portfolio becomes embedded in daily working methods
  • Connect the portfolio to processes such as CMDB, incident management, change management and sourcing management
  • Ensure the portfolio becomes a sustainable and living part of the organisation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Service Management, Service Portfolio Management or similar roles
  • Proven experience in setting up or improving an IT Service Portfolio, preferably from the ground up
  • Understanding of both technical IT services and business-oriented services
  • Experience within complex enterprise environments
  • Good knowledge of ITIL, especially service portfolio and service catalog management
  • Experience with stakeholder management at different levels
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture and the relationship between services, capabilities and applications
  • Experience with service management tooling such as TOPdesk or similar
  • Familiarity with IT4IT is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to apply structure
  • Able to translate complexity into practical solutions
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capability
  • Ability to switch between strategy and operation
  • Pragmatic and result-oriented approach
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
