Our partner is looking for an IT Service Desk Specialist to join their Global Service Desk Team in Budapest. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to core business operations, including device provisioning, application support, and user on/offboarding processes. ... You will handle Tier 1 support incidents and service requests, collaborating closely with the Tier 2 support team to ensure efficient resolution and appropriate escalation of more complex issues.
Job Responsibility:
Global Technical Support: Provide essential first-line IT support to employees globally (US, EMEA, APAC)
Incident & Request Management: Serve as the primary contact for users, resolving or escalating Incidents and Service Requests promptly in adherence to established SLAs
Vendor & Asset Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for hardware issues and maintain accurate records in the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) system
Onboarding & Training: Manage the IT aspects of employee on-boarding/off-boarding and conduct IT induction/training for new joiners on internal applications
Hardware & Software Lifecycle: Handle the full lifecycle of company hardware (imaging, deployment, troubleshooting desktops/laptops, monitors, mobile devices) and assist with standard software support
VIP Support: Deliver premium, "white glove" technical support to executives and build strong relationships with support staff
Documentation & Improvement: Create and maintain internal support documentation and actively contribute to the Continuous Service Improvement Plan
Operational Duties: Participate in on-call/shift rotations, assist with occasional weekend work (MACs), engage in floor walking, and track all activities via ServiceNow
Project Contribution: Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing IT projects as required
Requirements:
1+ years in an IT Service Desk support role
Knowledge and experience of Windows 11 and Office 365 applications
Knowledge and experience of supporting desktop and laptop hardware (Dell, MAC)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem solving, capable of working to deadlines, high level of attention to detail and have a keen desire to learn and progress
