We are looking for an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team in Schaumburg, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our organization's systems and data by implementing robust security measures and responding to potential threats. Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents to ensure the organization’s systems remain protected
  • Complete cybersecurity projects that enhance the security of enterprise systems and networks
  • Investigate, document, and report unresolved security issues or potential compliance violations to management
  • Conduct thorough audits of patch management, privileged access, endpoint protection, network devices, and user access controls
  • Develop and enforce security measures to protect against threats targeting servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Maintain and oversee the internal and external vulnerability management programs to mitigate risks
  • Manage the Information Security Awareness training program, including coordinating security training sessions and phishing simulations for end users
  • Assist in various security-focused projects and tasks as assigned to support the organization’s objectives

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT security or a related field
  • Expertise in data privacy, database security, and cyber governance
  • Proficiency with cybersecurity tools such as Microsoft Defender and Splunk
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and experience in monitoring and managing security events
  • Strong understanding of computer file protection and network security protocols
  • Ability to conduct detailed audits and present findings effectively
  • Proven ability to develop and implement security awareness programs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
