IT Security Project Manager Location: Remote/West Coast Time Zone We are seeking a mid-level Project Manager (5–7 years experience) to support secure enclave initiatives within a LAA/SCIF-supporting environment. This role focuses on coordinating multiple cross-functional teams to deliver complex efforts that are often classified as large Levels of Effort (LOEs) and managed with full project rigor. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and comfortable enforcing appropriate governance even when work is informally labeled as 'small.' This role requires a PM with IA and security-adjacent environments. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE WORK US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED!
Job Responsibility:
Manage the onboarding of new secure enclaves, including current efforts supporting West Coast environments
Coordinate work across multiple teams, including: LAA
Information Assurance (IA)
Engineering
PM and Business Analysis teams
Lead and manage large LOEs, treating them as full projects when scope, risk, or complexity requires
Drive consolidation initiatives across program environments
Apply appropriate project governance and rigor regardless of how work is labeled
Customize and manage delivery using a standard JIRA project template as requirements are defined and evolve
Identify, manage, and mitigate cross-team dependencies and delivery risks
Ensure milestones, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined, tracked, and communicated
Recognize when 'small' efforts meet the criteria for large-project execution
Apply large-project processes (planning, tracking, coordination, reporting) whenever thresholds are met
Enforce discipline and consistency without relying solely on formal project labels
Requirements:
5–7 years of experience in project management
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
Experience coordinating across technical, security, and business teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated ability to introduce and enforce process where ambiguity exists
IA/security guidelines and working in regulated or secure environments
Experience supporting enclave, network, or infrastructure-focused initiatives
Background managing efforts that fall between 'project' and 'operations' work
Strong hands-on experience with Jira, including: Managing multiple Jira projects across teams
Using Atlassian Plans / Advanced Roadmaps to roll up work into milestones, features, and releases
Maintain program-level visibility by aggregating stories and deliverables across teams
Actively manage milestone commitments and ensure teams stay aligned to delivery dates
