Job Responsibility:
Design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect the organization’s network, systems, applications, and data
Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses
Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing timely resolutions and post-incident reports
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure organizational compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements
Monitor security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM systems) to detect and respond to threats in real time
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is embedded into all system development, deployment, and maintenance processes
Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions to ensure proper user authentication and authorization
Conduct regular security audits and work with internal teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities and improve system security
Stay updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, and recommend security improvements
Provide guidance and training to employees on security best practices and emerging threats
Prepare and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and system configurations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience is required
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
ITIL certification (highly desirable) and experience with service management tools such as ServiceNow (a plus)
Proven experience as an IT Security Engineer, Network Security Engineer, or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPNs) and network security technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, proxies)
Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, encryption, and multi-factor authentication
Experience with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing techniques
Familiarity with IT security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
Solid understanding of cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud security models and tools
Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection principles
Experience with scripting and automation to streamline security processes (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure
Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with both technical and non-technical teams
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar credentials
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Experience with security in hybrid and multi-cloud environments
Knowledge of incident response and digital forensics
Excellent command of both spoken and written English
