The IT and Security Business Systems Analyst will be an engaged member of the IT & Security Business Partner team, providing support to IT & Security plans, projects, and service delivery support to achieve integrated business plans. The Functional Systems Analyst will report to the IT and Security Business Partner, who is a member of the FA leadership team. Qualified candidates should have competencies in business acumen, IT and Security service delivery, technology advancement, collaboration, communications and project coordination.
Job Responsibility:
Reports to the corresponding FA IT & Security Business Partner providing support to IT & Security plans, projects, and service delivery support to achieve integrated business plans
Engages business stakeholders to understand IT & Security requirements and priorities
Communicates business needs with appropriate IT solution centers and/or Security representatives (internal/external) to gain alignment between business needs and outcomes
Assists with gathering detailed business requirements and defines scope by conducting meetings/interviews, and facilitating large group/cross-functional sessions with partners
Helps ensure accurate representation and integration of functional stakeholders to major IT & Security projects
Identifies IT & Security functional challenges and supports continuous improvement initiatives
Promotes cybersecurity compliance without significant impact to business operations
Assists with the procurement of IT HW/SW within assigned area of responsibility
Supports various administrative tasks in support of FA IT & Security Business Partner team
Maintains up-to-date awareness of the current and future directions of the industry and associated technologies, and forms recommendations for implementing new/upgraded systems, technologies and/or processes in the IT and or Security domains ensuring compliant and modernized capabilities are deployed
Requirements:
4 or more years of relevant experience related to the position
Minimum of a high school diploma and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Ability to work across multiple functions / organizations and build trusted working relationships
Business acumen and working level experience in support of business operations
Knowledge of IT industry standard service delivery, operations, processes, standards, tools, and capabilities with a focus on PCs, infrastructure and project management
Willingness to learn and acquire new skills and adapt seamlessly to an ever-changing technology and security environment
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Self-directed, proactive, detail oriented, and an ability to multi-task
Ability to handle conflict and resolve difficult situations
Understanding of DoD Security (physical/cyber/industrial) principles and integration
both classified and unclassified
Experience with developing and implementing IT system, people, and process enhancements to improve business performance
Nice to have:
Bachelor's degree and an active Secret Clearance
Demonstrated record of capturing and developing business requirements to support the development of technical solutions
Background and knowledge of working in closed or classified environments
Program/Project Management and oversight
Ability to carry out data analytics to identify opportunities for efficiencies and innovation
Understanding of security policies like Nispom, INC Policy 400, ICD705, Cloud Services classifications
Industry Specific standard certifications, i.e. Security+, DoD Security certifications, and ITIL Foundations
