Job Description:

The role involves working as an IT Security Analyst at HSBC, requiring solid cybersecurity knowledge, software development expertise, and experience in database development. The position emphasizes independent work, innovation, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Job Responsibility:

Work independently
Keep up to date with the latest software development technologies and methodologies
Write clean and well-documented code
Build reusable core code libraries
Design and build optimized database schemas
Ensure developed internal system utilities meet the latest standards
Synchronize training with operations team
Complete projects under stress and pressure before deadlines.

Requirements:

Solid IT & software development knowledge & background
Expected to work independently
Positive attitude to learn and flexible to work
Keep up to date with the latest software development technologies and methodologies
Understand complex logic and amend it within set timescales which is consistently error free
Write clean and well-documented code
Build future-proof reusable core code libraries
Design and build database schemas optimized for performance and security
Synchronize training and practice to operation team’s pace
Excellent communication skills in both written and oral English
Strong will to fulfill responsibilities
Work under stress and pressure
Proficient technical skills and innovative minds
Bachelor degree or relevant professional diploma in Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering, Mathematic, and related technical field or equivalent certificate and experience
Experience in Identity and Access Management operations
Proven experience overseeing operational approaches
Proven experience in setting organizational direction
Highly self-motivated and proactive
Well-developed analytical reasoning and communication skills
Presentation and conflict resolution skills
Native speaker of Cantonese and Mandarin
Flexibility of working with different shifts
Strong understanding of Risk and Control principles
Advanced level of programming languages, methodologies and IDEs
Advanced level of database development and performance tuning
Knowledge of Linux, UNIX, IBM OS400, IBM AIX, IBM z390 Mainframe, Sun Solaris
Proficient in IBM/Lotus Notes/Domino and Microsoft Office applications series
Relevant IT certificate holder.
