The IT Quality Tech Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Job Responsibility:
Define, develop, and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and frameworks for Equity Finance applications, aligning with business objectives and technical architecture
Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, fostering a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement
Drive the adoption of best practices in test automation, performance testing, and continuous testing within the CI/CD pipeline
Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automated test suites using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium, API testing tools)
Develop automation for complex scenarios across front-office trading, middle-office risk, and back-office settlement systems
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable rapid feedback and accelerate delivery
Leverage deep understanding of Equities products (cash equities, derivatives, electronic trading), Prime Brokerage services (margin, financing, stock loan/borrow), and associated workflows
Translate complex business requirements and financial regulations into detailed test cases and scenarios
Understand market data, order lifecycle, trade booking, allocations, settlements, and regulatory reporting in the context of testing
Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure comprehensive test coverage
Communicate test progress, defect status, and risks effectively to stakeholders
Act as a quality advocate throughout the entire software development lifecycle
Oversee defect logging, tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution processes
Implement strategies for proactive defect prevention
Research, evaluate, and recommend new testing tools, technologies, and approaches to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
Drive innovation in testing practices to keep pace with evolving financial technologies and market demands
Requirements:
10+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance and testing, with at least 3-5 years in a lead or senior role
Significant experience (5+ years) testing applications within the financial services industry, specifically in Prime Finance
Proven experience in building and managing robust test automation frameworks from scratch or significantly enhancing existing ones
Proficiency in Java, Extensive experience with test automation tools (e.g., Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured)
Strong understanding of API testing (REST, FIX, MQ) and associated tools
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and integrating automated tests
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
Proficiency with relational databases (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases
Solid understanding of the Equities trade lifecycle (order routing, execution, allocation, settlement)
Good understanding of Prime Brokerage services (e.g., margin, financing, stock loan/borrow, portfolio reporting)
Familiarity with financial messaging protocols (e.g., FIX, SWIFT) is highly desirable
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, Basel) affecting capital markets technology is a plus
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
