Our IT Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst ensures the quality, reliability, stability and performance of our in-store ordering and restaurant platforms. From POS and menu boards to order confirmation boards, Macromatix and other integrated systems, this role oversees end-to-end testing to ensure our technology performs seamlessly in restaurant environments. As part of the broader Yum! Technology ecosystem, you’ll work across both manual and automated testing, contributing to an evolving restaurant tech stack and supporting new integrations as our platforms continue to grow.
Job Responsibility:
Perform end-to-end testing across restaurant technology platforms
Design, review and execute test cases based on business requirements and real restaurant operational scenarios
Provide ad hoc support to restaurant operations during critical incidents, with occasional on-site support to diagnose and validate issues impacting in-store technology
Support UAT, pilot testing and market rollout validation
Prepare and manage test data aligned to store use cases such as promotions, combos, refunds and multi-tender payments
Log, track and manage defects in Jira, working closely with vendors and global technology teams to drive resolution
Contribute to release readiness, deployment validation and release sign-off activities
Develop, maintain and execute automated test suites across Web, Mobile (iOS/Android), APIs and integrated restaurant systems
Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Appium, JavaScript/TypeScript and Cucumber BDD
Perform API automation testing using REST (Rest Assured) and GraphQL for microservices-based platforms
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support continuous testing and delivery
Support regression automation for releases and changes, providing automation coverage reports and quality insights to drive continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with quality standards, security policies, and SOPAC governance requirements
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field
Proven experience in a technical QA role across both manual and automated testing
Experience across an end-to-end testing tech stack (e.g. Playwright (Web), Appium (Mobile), JavaScript/TypeScript, Cucumber BDD and BrowserStack)
Experience building or contributing to test automation frameworks
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
Resourceful and proactive, with the ability to work autonomously
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance high quality standards with delivery timelines
Ambitious and motivated to grow and develop within a fast-paced technology environment
Nice to have:
Experience in QSR or retail technology environments is highly desirable
