Define, prioritize, and manage the IT project portfolio in alignment with the Bank’s strategic goals and objectives and monitoring project scoring target versus actual
Ensure that projects support the overall business strategy and are in line with the Bank’s mission and vision
Develop criteria and processes for project prioritization, selection, and approval
Assess project feasibility and potential impact
Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to meet project needs and priorities
Provide ongoing oversight and monitoring of projects within the portfolio
Track project progress, milestones, and outcomes in addition to needed escalation for Projects critical path deviations
Identify and assess project risks, dependencies, and interdependencies within the portfolio
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership
Provide regular meetings to monitor on project status and performance, undertake the necessary actions to overcome delays if needed
Develop and manage the IT project portfolio budget. Ensure cost control and alignment with financial objectives
Establish quality control processes and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions
Conduct project reviews and audits as needed
Oversee change management practices to ensure smooth project transitions and user adoption
Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and consultants involved in projects within the portfolio
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains in portfolio management
Maintain comprehensive documentation of project portfolio strategies, priorities, and performance metrics
Prepare IT Governance Reports, Group Monthly Deck, generate Reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
Ensure correct adoption of policies and procedures to guarantee that QNB ALAHLI business is conducted in compliance with Local Laws, Internal rules and regulations, as well as, International Standards
Ensure the correct functioning and implementation of Permanent Supervision system, compliance, operational risk & workplace success guidelines whenever & wherever possible.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field from a reputable university
A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional - PMP, Portfolio Management Professional - PfMP) is preferred
Minimum 8 years of experience for the Portfolio Manager / Project Manager
Deep understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices
Proficiency in project portfolio management tools and software
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinking and the ability to align the IT project portfolio with business objectives
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to IT project portfolio management
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
