Job Description

We are looking for an IT Project Manager to lead technology initiatives for clients in New York, New York. This role oversees the full project lifecycle, balancing client communication, delivery planning, and coordination with technical teams to keep work moving efficiently. The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing infrastructure and cloud-focused projects while maintaining high standards for documentation, quality, and budget control.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead technology projects from initial planning through final delivery for a range of client environments
  • Define project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and staffing needs to support successful execution
  • Partner with engineering teams and external vendors to coordinate implementation activities and resolve delivery obstacles
  • Monitor timelines, risks, dependencies, and project records while keeping stakeholders informed of progress
  • Facilitate kickoff sessions, recurring status reviews, and closeout meetings to maintain alignment throughout each engagement
  • Gather business and technical needs from clients and translate them into practical project plans and actionable requirements
  • Work with technical leaders to support initiatives such as cloud deployments, infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery solutions, migrations, and security-related projects
  • Ensure completed work is transitioned effectively to support teams and contribute to improving delivery processes and project standards.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience managing IT projects in a client-facing services or consulting environment
  • Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity concepts, and enterprise technology implementations
  • Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, networking, and related business technology tools
  • Experience using project and service management platforms such as ConnectWise, Autotask, Jira, Asana, or Monday.com
  • Strong ability to oversee multiple active projects at the same time while maintaining deadlines, scope, and budget expectations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present updates clearly to clients and internal leadership
  • Proven strength in documentation, requirements gathering, organization, and cross-functional coordination.
  • PMP certification and exposure to Agile or Scrum practices are preferred.
