The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams to execute complex projects within the manufacturing and packaging lifecycle. This includes the implementation of new packaging technologies, production line optimizations, and product launches while ensuring strict adherence to global regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, MHRA).
Job Responsibility:
End-to-End Project Leadership: Lead projects from initial concept through to commercialization, including equipment installation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and process validation
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and external vendors
Compliance & Quality: Ensure all project activities comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Resource & Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), tracking spend against milestones and mitigating financial risks
Risk Management: Proactively identify technical or regulatory bottlenecks in the packaging line (e.g., serialization issues, material shortages) and develop contingency plans
Continuous Improvement: Drive 'Lean' initiatives to reduce waste in the packaging process and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related scientific field
5+ years of project management experience specifically within Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences manufacturing
Deep understanding of GMP, Annex 15, and serialization requirements (e.g., DSCSA)
Proficiency in PM software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or Jira) and familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
Nice to have:
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a significant plus
PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification is highly preferred
