Piper Companies is seeking an IT Project Manager to support technology initiatives across Engineering, Quality, and Laboratory groups within a leading manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned IT PM with strong project planning skills, SDLC/Agile expertise, and experience working with enterprise and regulated systems. This is a long‑term contract requiring onsite presence in Greensboro, NC, 1–2 weeks per month.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, scope, and deliverables across multiple concurrent IT initiatives
Lead end‑to‑end project execution using hybrid SDLC and Agile methodologies while ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements
Utilize MS Project and ideally Jira for scheduling, tracking, reporting, RAID management, and stakeholder communication
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, IT Development, Cybersecurity, and PMO teams to maintain transparency and ensure project readiness
Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies
drive mitigation strategies and ensure timely resolution
Coordinate testing, deployment, cutovers, and stabilization activities in regulated manufacturing environments
Requirements:
7+ years of IT Project Management experience supporting complex enterprise technology initiatives
Strong hands‑on experience with MS Project and ideally Jira
Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, project governance, and documentation best practices
Experience developing and executing project plans, schedules, scope statements, and resource plans
Preferred experience with MES, LIMS, QMS, engineering design platforms, or specification systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
Experience working in regulated or manufacturing environments is a plus
