Job Description:

The IT Project Intermediate Analyst role involves coordinating IT project activities, collaborating on business and system requirement development, and providing project status tracking. The position includes client connectivity setup, trade file testing, and integration requirement documentation, while working closely with technology teams and external clients. Candidate needs to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a good understanding of business processes, and technical domain expertise.

Job Responsibility:

Coordinates activities of an IT project team, identifying necessary resources and developing schedules to meet completion deadlines
collaborates in development of project business and system requirements
develops requirement documentation
communicates with project staff and clients regarding status of projects
utilizes project management tools and provides project status tracking, metrics and project estimates
contributes to process improvement efforts
evaluates business processes, system processes and industry standards
provides guidance to new or lower level analysts
applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results
resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions.

Requirements:

2-5 years experience in an IT project leadership role with commensurate people management experience
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
experience in client facing roles on business critical projects
proven track record of delivery within a global environment
experience in the financial services sector and/or an investment bank
strong in database (SQL) and an understanding of Unix
comfortable in the technical domain with understanding of how technology impacts business
understand and respond appropriately to internal and external client needs
hands-on experience of data mining activities and logical data mapping using SQL
exposure to project management and business analysis techniques, methodologies, and reporting
excellent analytical and problem solving skills
good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
detailed and delivery oriented
team player
ability to manage client expectations.
